モータウンを支えたファンク・ブラザーズのベーシスト、ボブ・バビットが死去

モータウンを支えたスタジオミュージシャン集団、ファンク・ブラザーズの一員として活躍したベーシストのボブ・バビット（Bob Babbitt）が7月16日、脳がんからの合併症により、ナッシュビルにて死去。74歳でした。

ボブは、スティーヴィー・ワンダー（Stevie Wonder）「Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours」、スモーキー・ロビンソン（Smokey Robinson）＆ミラクルズ「Tears of a Clown」、テンプテーションズ（The Temptations）「Ball of Confusion」、マーヴィン・ゲイ（Marvin Gaye）「Inner City Blues」ほか多くの楽曲に参加しています。
