グレイトフル・デッド（Grateful Dead）のオフィシャル・ドキュメンタリー『Long Strange Trip』。本編映像の一部が公開



『Long Strange Trip』の監督はアミール・バーレフ（The Tillman Story）。マーティン・スコセッシ（Martin Scorsese）がエグゼクティヴ・プロデューサーを担当しています。トータル4時間の作品で、現存するバンド・メンバーのインタビューや、これまで未公開だったアーカイブ映像＆音源なども含まれます。

映画は、今年初めに＜サンダンス映画祭＞でワールドプレミアが行われており、5月26日からは米国と英国のAmazonプライム・ビデオ向けにリリースされます。

また同作のサウンドトラック・アルバムは海外で5月26日に発売される予定。リリース元はRhino。

グレイトフル・デッドの記録保管人デヴィッド・ルミューと、ドキュメンタリーを監督したアミール・バーレフが共同プロデュースした本アルバムには、数多くのスタジオ・レコーディング音源に加えて、未発表なものも含んだライヴ音源も収録。

通常盤の2CD版、そのハイライトのアナログレコード2枚組版に加え、ボーナス・ディスクを追加したAmazon限定の3CD版、その3CD版と同内容を収めたAmazon限定の6枚組アナログレコード版（2500セットのみ）も発売されます。
