アート・ガーファンクルの2CDアンソロジー盤『The Singer』は8月発売に、未発表曲2曲収録

アート・ガーファンクル（Art Garfunkel）のキャリアを凝縮した2CDアンソロジー盤『The Singer』。当初は4月に予定されていた発売日が8月28日に。仕様が変更され、2曲の未発表曲を含んだ全34曲入りに。

アルバムには、サイモン＆ガーファンクル（Simon and Garfunkel／S&G）の1964年デビュー作『Wednesday Morning, 3 AM)』から、2007年発表のソロ作『Some Enchanted Evening』まで、40年強のキャリアを凝縮した代表曲ほかを収録。また、これが初出となる「Lena (featuring Dean Parks)」「Long Way Home (with Maia Sharp)」の2曲も収められます。
