マーク・プリチャードは、90年代初頭から音楽活動を続けるベテラン・テクノ・クリエイターで、アフリカ・ハイテック（Africa Hitech）でも活躍する人物。

アルバム『Under the Sun』は、スティーヴ・スペイセックとのエレクトロニック・ミュージック・プロジェクト、アフリカ・ハイテックの2011年作『93 Million Miles』に続く新作リリース。

本作にはトム・ヨークやリンダ・パーハックス（Linda Perhacs）、Bibioらがゲスト・ヴォーカルとして参加しています。
