デキシーズ・ミッドナイト・ランナーズが新アルバム『Let The Record Show』を6月発売、トレーラー映像あり

「カモン・アイリーン」のヒットで知られるデキシーズ・ミッドナイト・ランナーズ（Dexys Midnight Runners）（現名義はデキシーズ／Dexys）が新アルバム『Let The Record Show Dexys Do Irish and Country Soul』を海外で6月3日発売。リリース元はRhino UK。

スタジオ・アルバムの発表は、2012年にリリースした27年ぶりのアルバム『One Day I’m Going To Soar』以来。

新作のテーマは“アイリッシュとカントリー・ソウル”。フロントマンのケヴィン・ローランド（Kevin Rowland）によれば、“アイリッシュ”をテーマにしたアルバムはもともと、1984年か85年頃にリリースする計画があったようで、今回のアルバムに収録される「Carrickfergus」「Curragh of Kildare」「Women Of Ireland」のような曲をフィーチャーする予定でしたが、結局、お蔵入りになってしまったとのこと。それがずっと引っかかっていたというローランドは、今回レコーディングができる準備が整ったと感じ、悲願のアルバム制作に取り組んだようです。
