ウィルコ(Wilco)ビッグ・スター(Big Star)ソニック・ユース(Sonic Youth)のメンバーらが参加するプロジェクト、End Of Loveの初アルバム『Ghosts On The Radio』が海外で12月11日発売。リリース元はVitalic Noise。

End of Love は、ビッグ・スターのジョディ・ステファンス(Jody Stephens)、アーウィン・メンケン(Irwin Menken)、ジェイ・ディーガン(Jay Deegan)の3人が中心となり始動したプロジェクト。アーウィン・メンケンはリー・ラナルドのソロ活動に参加しているベーシストで、End of Loveではプロデューサーも兼ねています。

アルバムには楽曲毎に様々なミュージシャンが参加しており、ソニック・ユースのリー・ラナルド(Lee Ranaldo)、ウィルコのネルス・クライン(Nels Cline)やジョン・スティラット、Mikael Jorgensen、The dB’sのクリス・ステイミーらが参加しています。

☆Project Members Include:

Jody Stephens: Jody is the drummer for EOL. Jody is also a founding member of the legendary Memphis band Big Star. Big Star has been cited as an influence on bands such as REM, The Replacements, Cheap Trick, the dB’s and many others. Jody has also collaborated with Jeff Tweedy of Wilco and and Gary Louris of the Jayhawks and other in the band Golden Smog.

Irwin Menken: Irwin is the bassist, vocalist and producer for EOL. His previously most notable work has been with Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth as bassist and vocalist on his solo album “Between the Times and the Tides”. Additionally, Irwin produces music for a variety of artists in NYC.

Jay Deegan: Jay is the guitarist for EOL. Jay has played around the NYC music scene for 2 decades working with a variety of artists. Jay is a prolific song writer and artist.

Skylar Gudasz: Skylar sings lead vocals on 7 of the tracks on EOL’s debut album. She is a popular Chapel Hill, NC singer/songwriter who has sung with Big Star Third and also works extensively on her own material in collaboration with Chris Stamey and Mitch Easter.

Django Haskins: Django contributes 2 tracks to the album. He is best known as a singer, guitarist and songwriter with his current band Old Ceremony. He has also sung with Big Star Third and has also worked with International Orange among other projects.

Elisa Peimer: Elisa is a NYC based singer/songwriter with 4 solo albums under her belt. She has toured with the well received Joni Mitchell tribute project “Blue”. She contributes vocals on 2 tracks of EOL’s debut album.

Nels Cline: Cited as Rolling Stone’s 65th best guitarist of all time, Nels is a member of the band Wilco and works extensively with his own projects that include collaborations with many of the finest jazz musicians in the world. He also tours extensively with his own band the Nels Cline Singers> Nels contributes parts to the majority of the songs on EOL’s first record.

Lee Ranaldo: Lee is a founding member of the iconic band Sonic Youth. His solo career includes 2 recent albums with his own band. He contributes his signature style to the song “Falling Hard” on EOL’s debut album.

Chris Stamey: A founding member of the dB’s and a successful record producer, Chris engineered and produced many of the album’s vocals. In the process he added tambourine and a bit of guitar to the track “Color of My Eyes”.

John Stirratt: A founding member of Wilco, John added backing vocals to the album then hung around to provide counsel and advice during final mixes and production.

Mikael Jorgensen: A member of Wilco, Mikael contributed the synth part to “Fade Away”.

Guy Licata: A studio stalwart, Guy contributed drums and percussion to EOL’s debut album. He’s known for his work with Sam Sparro, Santigold and Bill Laswell.

Abe Seiferth: Abe engineered much of the album and added guitar to many of the tracks.

Ted Young: A Grammy winning producer, Ted mixed and produced the record with Irwin.
