●Elvis Presley, Elvis Presley (aka Elvis Presley Rock ’n’ Roll):
Elvis’ first album is brilliant. Brilliant stuff.

●The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band:
I mean, when “Sgt. Pepper” came out, I thought I should become an interior decorator or something, because this is way beyond what I know (laughs).

●The Rolling Stones, Exile on Main St.:
All the Stones’ stuff, but with “Exile on Main St.,” you thought, “Wow, what a good record the boys have made.”

●Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin IV:
The thing is, we all loved Led Zeppelin anyway. And after “Led Zeppelin III,” we thought it was great. And then they put out IV, and it was like, “Wow.” They just lifted the bar even higher, which was really appreciated by us, the fans.

●The Allman Brothers Band, Brothers And Sisters:
One of the first gatefold sleeves I ever bought.

●Jimi Hendrix Experience, Are You Experienced?:
When it first came out, it was like, “Hello, how’s he doing that?!” I saw Hendrix in Glasgow.

He was the headliner. It was outstanding. The first thing I see is three Marshall stacks. He had three. Everybody went, “Oh!” Everyone was desperate to hear him by the time the record came out.Otis Redding Pain In My Heart

●Otis Redding, all releases:
Anything by Otis Redding.

●Little Richard, all releases:
All Little Richard.

●The Who, Tommy:
The first time (The Who) did “Tommy,” they used to leave London and do Glasgow University ? the Kinema Ballroom in Dunfermline ? and that’s where they used to practice their new set, to play it in front of people and see how it went. I saw the second-ever live version of “Tommy.” Oh yeah, I love The Who.

●Cream, all releases:
All Cream.
