スモーキー・ロビンソン（Smokey Robinson）のデュエット・アルバム『Smokey & Friends』が日本でも発売に。国内盤は9月10日でSHM-CD仕様（海外：9月9日）

アルバムには、エルトン・ジョン（Elton John）やジェイムス・テイラー（James Taylor）、エアロスミス（Aerosmith）のスティーヴン・タイラー（Steven Tyler）、ジョン・レジェンド（John Legend）、メアリー・J・ブライジ（Mary J. Blige）、シェリル・クロウ（Sheryl Crow）、シーロー・グリーン（Cee Lo Green）らが参加しており、スモーキーとともにソウル名曲を演じています。プロデューサーはランディ・ジャクソン（Randy Jackson）。
