ジョージ・ハリスン（George Harrison）の生涯を描いたドキュメンタリー映画『リヴィング・イン・ザ・マテリアル・ワールド』（監督マーティン・スコセッシ）。2011年末に発売された本作のDVD／Blu-rayコレクターズ・エディションに付属されていた未発表音源集が単品でもリリース。CD、LP版が米国で5月1日に発売されます。

本作『Early Takes Volume 1: Music From The Martin Scorsese Picture Living In The Material World』には、全10曲のデモや初期テイクを収録しています。
