2007年に再結成した彼らのスタジオ・アルバムは1996年作『Swansong』以来で、現ドラマーDan Wilding加入後、初のアルバム。プロデュースはコリン・リチャードソン（CANNIBAL CORPSE, NAPALM DEATH, FEAR FACTORY, OVERKILL）、ミックスはアンディ・スニープ（MEGADETH, ACCEPT, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY）。病気療養中のオリジナル・ドラマーのケン・オーウェンに代わり、ダン・ウィルディングが参加しています。

国内盤にはボーナス・トラックとして「A WRAITH IN THE APPARATUS」「INTENSIVE BATTERY BROODING」が追加されます。
