祝・ロックの殿堂入り、ドノヴァンのレア音源も収めた2CDベストが4月発売

現代の吟遊詩人ドノヴァン（Donovan）、4月に「ロックの殿堂」入りを果たすことを記念し、米国では初出となる音源も収めた、米Epic/Legacy編集の2CDベスト・アルバム『The Essential Donovan』が4月17日（米国）に発売されます。

本作は1965年から73年にかけて発表された作品群の中から全36曲をセレクト。うち4曲は米国では初出となる音源です。

その内容は

1967年作『Wear Your Love Like Heaven』収録曲「The Land Of Doesn't Have To Be」は前年の1966年に録音された初期モノ・ヴァージョン。

「Sunny Goodge Street」と「Sand And Foam」は1967年11月17日にアナハイムコンベンション・センターで録音されたライヴ・ヴァージョン。

「Hey Gyp (Dig The Slowness)」は1973年に日本でのみ発売されたライヴ・アルバム『Live in Japan: Spring Tour 1973』からのヴァージョン。
