パティ・スミスの音楽を祝うトリビュート公演　レニー・ケイやレッチリのフリーがバックを務めてB.スプリングスティーンらがカヴァー披露　スミスも演奏

パティ・スミス（Patti Smith）の音楽を祝うトリビュート・コンサート『People Have the Power: Celebrating The Music Of Patti Smith』が米国時間3月26日、ニューヨークのカーネギーホールで開催されました。

ブルース・スプリングスティーン（Bruce Springsteen）は「Because the Night」を、ヤー・ヤー・ヤーズのカレン・O（Karen O）は「Gloria」をそれぞれカヴァー。

この夜のハウスバンドには、スミスの長年のギタリストであるレニー・ケイ（Lenny Kaye）とベーシスト兼キーボード奏者のトニー・シャナハン、レッド・ホット・チリ・ペッパーズのフリー（Flea）、ローリング・ストーンズのドラマーのスティーヴ・ジョーダン（Steve Jordan）が参加しており、スプリングスティーンやカレン・Oなどと共演しています。

公演の最後にはパティ・スミスが「People Have the Power」を披露。ステージには、このイベントに出演した全アーティストも登場して、イベントを締めくくりっています。

このほか、元R.E.M.のマイケル・スタイプ、元ソニック・ユースのキム・ゴードン、ザ・ナショナルのマット・バーニンガー、エンジェル・オルセン、シャロン・ヴァン・エッテン、ベン・ハーパー、コートニー・バーネット、ザ・キルズのアリソン・モシャートほかが出演しています。
