アイルランドのギターヒーロー、ロリー・ギャラガー（Rory Gallagher）が英BBCに遺した数々のライヴ・パフォーマンスを網羅した、CD18枚＋Blu-ray2枚の計20枚組ボックスセット『The BBC Collection』が海外で10月11日発売。

CD18枚には、1971年から1986年までのラジオ・コンサートとセッションを収録しており、それら音源の約75％はこれまで公式にリリースされたことがないものです。

Blu-ray2枚には、1973年から1984年までのBBCテレビ・コンサートやスタジオ・パフォーマンスを収録。これらはすべてこれまで公式にリリースされたことがないものです。

BBCのアーカイヴやロリー自身のアーカイブ、そして放送から収録したカセット録音から集められたこのボックスセットは、彼のキャリアの16年間（1971年～1986年）を網羅しており、1977年にテレビとラジオで放送されたSight & Soundコンサート、1980年のレディング・フェスティバルでのヘッドライナー・セット、1984年のベルファストのアルスター・ホールでの感動的な「At Midnight」コンサートなども含まれています。
