キング・クリムゾン、72年夏リハーサルセッションの音源をネット限定で無料公開

キング・クリムゾン（King Crimson）が1973年にリリースしたスタジオ・アルバム『Larks' Tongues in Aspic（邦題：太陽と戦慄）』。発売50周年を記念した50thアニヴァーサリー・エディションの発売決定にあわせ、1972年夏に行われたリハーサル・セッションからの音源がネット限定で無料公開。

最近発見されたというリハーサル・セッションのテープには、新生キング・クリムゾンが足元を固めつつあった1972年の夏に録音された、ビル・ブルーフォード（Bill Bruford）、ジョン・ウェットン（John Wetton）、デヴィッド・クロス（David Cross）、ジェイミー・ミューア（Jamie Muir）による30分間の即興演奏が収められており、今回はその演奏から抜粋された約4分の音源が公開されています。ロバート・フリップがセッションに全く参加していないレアな音源です。

この音源はネット限定で、『Larks' Tongues In Aspic』の50thアニヴァーサリー・エディションには収録されていません。YouTubeで聴け、バンドの公式サイトにて無料ダウンロード配信されています。

デヴィッド・シングルトンによる2023年エレメンタル・ミックス - このアルバムのために録音された全てのセッションを完全収録。これらの音源はすべてオリジナルの演奏から新たにミックスされ、ハイレゾ24/96ステレオで初めてディスク化された。

オリジナル・ステレオ・マスターのハイレゾ・ステレオ・ミックスと、デヴィッド・シングルトンによるアルバム・レコーディングのオーディオ・ドキュメンタリー「Keep That One, Nick」は、2012年のボックス・セットに収録されていたもの。これらは、このディスクに収録されている唯一の既発音源である。
