＜レコードストアデイ＞　米国では2023年も大成功　特に独立系レコード店では新たな記録を打ち立てる

4月22日に開催された2023年の＜レコード・ストア・デイ＞。米国のエンターテイメントデータを収集・解析するLuminate（旧：Nielsen Music）によると、米国では今年も大成功で、特に独立系レコード・ショップでは新たな記録を打ち立てています。

独立系レコード・ショップでは、4月27日までの1週間にレコード・アルバムが142万6千枚販売されました。少なくてもLuminateがデータの収集を開始した2008年1月以降においては、独立系レコード・ショップでのレコード・アルバム販売枚数としては過去最高を記録しています。業界全体でその週に売れたレコード・アルバムの79％が独立系レコード・ショップで販売され、また米国でその週に売れた全アルバム（フィジカルおよびデジタルの全フォーマット）の57％が独立系レコード・ショップを通じて販売されました。

Luminateによると、4月27日までの1週間に、米国内のすべての小売店および販売店（インディーズ・レコード・ストア含む）で計180万9000枚のレコード・アルバムが販売されました。これは、レコード・ストア・デイの週（ブラックフライデー関連のRSDを含む）のレコード・アルバム販売枚数としては過去最高であり、Luminateが1991年に音楽販売の記録を開始して以来、レコード・アルバムの販売枚数としては4番目に大きな週となりました。
