サイケ/ガレージの名コンピ『Nuggets』50周年記念　5LPボックスセット発売

数多の派生コンピレーションを生むほど影響力をもったロック・コンピレーションのパイオニア。サイケデリックおよびガレージ・ロックの名コンピレーション・アルバム『Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era, 1965-1968』（1972年）。

発売50周年を記念して、オリジナルのリリースを大幅に拡大し、1998年のCDボックスセットを改訂したアナログレコード5枚組のボックスセットが発売決定。オリジナル・テープからリマスターされたオリジナルの2枚組LP、予定されていたが未発表に終わった『Vol.2』、そしてオリジナル時に検討されたが最終的に収録されなかった曲を含んだ内容です。4月22日のレコードストアデイに限定発売されます。リイシュー元は Rhino。

『Nugget』は、エレクトラ・レコードの創設者ジャック・ホルツマンの監督のもと、後にパティ・スミス・グループのリード・ギタリストとなるレニー・ケイがキュレーションを担当。ケイは当時、ニューヨークのヴィレッジ・オールディーズ・レコード・ショップのライター兼店員でした。

今回のボックスセットもオリジナルと同様、レニー・ケイが監修し、ナゲッツのオリジナル・パイオニアであるジェイ・ホルツマンが全面的に関与しています。また、レニーによる新しいライナーノーツとバイオグラフィーを付属。
