デキシーズ・ミッドナイト・ランナーズ『Too-Rye-Ay』40年記念エディション　全曲公開

デキシーズ・ミッドナイト・ランナーズ（Dexys Midnight Runners）は、代表曲のひとつ「Come On Eileen」を収めたアルバム『Too-Rye-Ay』を1982年7月にリリースしました。それから40年、同作の40thアニヴァーサリー・エディション『Too-Rye-Ay, As It Should Have Sounded』をリリース。ストリーミング配信開始。YouTubeほかで聴けます

今回のエディションには、新たにミックスされたヴァージョンが収録されており、それは「本来あるべき姿（as it should have sounded）」ヴァージョンと呼ばれています。

フロントマンのケヴィン・ローランド（Kevin Rowland）は最終ミックスに「決して満足しなかった」という。彼は声明の中で「曲も演奏も素晴らしいんだけど、ミックスはもっと良くなるはずだったといつも思っていた。僕の中では最も成功したアルバムなんだけど、他のアルバムと比べると音が良くないんだ。これはディレクターズカットで、こうあるべきだったんだよ」とコメントしています。

またこのエディションでは、新しいアルバム・カヴァーが採用されています。

このエディションには3CD版、1CD版、カラーヴァイナル版、ブラックヴァイナル版、そしてデラックス・ボックスセットがあります。

3CD版は、新しいインタビューとライナーノーツ、貴重なアーカイブ写真とメモラビリアを含む12ページのブックレットが付いたA5ハードカバー本のセットに入っています。CD1にはアルバムの「本来あるべき姿」ヴァージョンを、CD2にはBサイド曲、レア曲、未発表アウトテイク3曲を、そして最後のディスクには1982年10月にロンドンのシャフツベリー・シアターで行われたコンサートの模様を、それぞれ収めています。
