キャット・パワー（Cat Power）ことショーン・マーシャルは新アルバム『Covers』を海外で2022年1月14日発売。リリース元はDomino Record Co。

スタジオ・アルバムのリリースは2018年の『Wanderer』以来。

新作は2000年の『The Covers Record』、2008年の『Jukebox』に続くカヴァー曲ベースのアルバム第3弾。

今回は、フランク・オーシャン、ボブ・シーガー、ラナ・デル・レイ、ジャクソン・ブラウン、イギー・ポップ、ザ・ポーグス、ザ・リプレイスメンツなどの楽曲を再構築。自身がプロデュースしています。

このアルバムからザ・ポーグス「A Pair Of Brown Eyes」とフランク・オーシャン「Bad Religion」のカヴァーが聴けます。
