ジョニ・ミッチェル　初期アルバム4作の新ボックスセットから「Both Sides Now」のリマスター版公開

ジョニ・ミッチェル（Joni Mitchell）がリプリーズ・レコードからリリースした初期スタジオ・アルバム4タイトルを新たにリマスター化。4タイトルを収めたCD4枚およびアナログレコード4枚のボックスセット『The Reprise Albums (1968-1971)』から「Both Sides Now」の2021年リマスター・ヴァージョンが公開。この曲は1969年アルバム『Clouds』に収録



このボックスセットは海外で6月25日に発売されます。リリース元はRhino。

対象となるのは

●『Song to a Seagull（邦題：ジョニ・ミッチェル）』（1968年）
●『Clouds （邦題：青春の光と影）』（1969年）
●『Ladies of the Canyon』（1970年）
●『Blue』（1971年）

の4タイトル。今回のリリースは『Blue』の発売50周年を記念したものです。

『Song to a Seagull』は、ミキサーのマット・リーがジョニ・プロデュースのもとで新たにミックスをやり直しています。ジョニはプレスリリースで「オリジナルのミックスは最悪だった。まるでゼリーボウルの下で録音したような音だったから直したのよ！」と語っています。

このボックスのカヴァーアートには、これらのアルバムの時代にジョニが制作した未公開の自画像が使用されています。これは最近、彼女の古いスケッチブックの中から再発見されました。ライナーノーツにはブランディ・カーライルによるエッセイが掲載されています。
