マグネティック・フィールズが新アルバム『Quickies』を5月発売、新曲MVあり

マグネティック・フィールズ（The Magnetic Fields ）が新アルバム『Quickies』を海外で5月15日発売。リリース元はNonesuch。

タイトルが示すように、アルバムはすべて3分未満の短い楽曲で構成されています。全28曲入り。CDは1枚ですが、アナログレコードはEP5枚です。

マグネティック・フィールズのリーダーであるステファン・メリット（Stephin Merritt）は、このアルバムのアイデアは多くの短編小説を読んだこと、そして小さなノートブックを使っていたことから始まったと説明しています。

この作品から新曲「The Day the Politicians Died」のミュージックビデオと「 (I Want to Join A) Biker Gang」が公開されています
