ザ・リプレイスメンツ『Don't Tell a Soul』ボックスセットから未発表ライヴ音源「Alex Chilton」公開

ザ・リプレイスメンツ（The Replacements）のアルバム『Don't Tell a Soul』（1989年）に焦点を当て、トム・ウェイツ（Tom Waits）とのセッションを含む、未発表スタジオ／ライヴ・レコーディング音源を収録したCD4枚＋アナログレコードのボックスセット『Dead Man’s Pop』。この作品から未発表ライヴ音源「Alex Chilton (Live at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, WI, 6/2/1989)」が公開



ボックスセットは海外で9月27日に発売されます。リイシュー元はRhino。

『Don't Tell a Soul』はもともと、1988年にプロデューサーのマット・ウォレスによってミックスされましたが、このオリジナル・ミックスは所属のSire Recordsから許可が出ず、Sireはミキシング・エンジニアのChris Lord-Algeによるミックスを最終的にリリースしています。

今回、マット・ウォレスは1988年の自身のオリジナル・ミックスに基づいて、新しいミックスを制作。『Don't Tell A Soul Redux』と題した新ミックスは、ボックスセットのCD1と180グラム重量盤アナログレコードに収録されます。

CD2『We Know The Night: Rare & Unreleased』には、トム・ウェイツとのセッションを含む未発表／レア音源を収録。

CD3とCD4は『The Complete Inconcerated Live』と題され、1989年6月2日にウィスコンシン大学ミルウォーキー校で行われたコンサートの未発表ライヴ音源を2枚にわたって収録。

ボックスには初出写真やアルバムの詳細な解説などを掲載したハードカバー本も付属されます。
