ロリー・ギャラガー　ブルース演奏のレア／未発表音源を収めたアルバム『The Blues』が5月発売

アイルランドが誇る伝説的ギター・ヒーロー、ロリー・ギャラガー（Rory Gallagher）。ソロ・キャリアの中から、ブルースを演奏するレア／未発表音源ほかを収めたアルバム『The Blues』が海外で5月31日発売。1CD版、3CDデラックスエディション、アナログレコード2枚組版（ブラックヴァイナル、カラーヴァイナルの2種類）が用意されています。リリース元はChess / Ume。

本作は、ロリーのソロ作品の権利を取得したユニバーサル・ミュージックが2018年より開始したキャンペーンの一環としてリリースされるもの。

本作では、ロリー・ギャラガーがソロになってからの1971年から1994年までのキャリアを総括。ロリーのアーカイヴから、未発表音源、スペシャル・ゲストでマディ・ウォーターズ（Muddy Waters）やアルバート・キング（Albert King）などと共演した貴重なセッション音源、お蔵入りになったラジオのセッション音源などを収録。

3CDデラックスエディションは全36曲入りで、CD1にはエレクトリック・ブルース・ヴァージョン、CD2にはアコースティック・ブルース・ヴァージョン、CD3にはライヴ音源を収録。90％は未発表音源です。またデラックスエディションには、未発表写真や、ブルース・ロックライターのJas Obrechtによる新規エッセイを掲載したブックレットが付属されます。
