ノーキー・エドワーズの訃報を受け、ベンチャーズのリーダー、ドン・ウィルソンが追悼メッセージを発表

　Nokie Edwards has left us now. I have lost a dear friend and companion.
　Never to hear his laughter or conversation again.
　His guitar is silenced forever, accept for the great legacy he has left us.
　His guitar playing was incomparable.
　No one could truly copy his style. It was his and his alone.
　I had never heard him say a bad word about anyone. That’s the kind of person he was.
　The world of music has lost a wonderful person and an outstanding musician.
　He has touched so many people’s heart with his music and personality.
　He was like a brother to me. More after all these many years together, on stage and off.
　I will miss you my partner, my pal, and wonderful buddy.
　God bless you and may you rest in peace.
　I have tears in my eyes as I say goodbye forever.
　I love you my dearest friend.

　ノーキー・エドワードが旅立ってしまいました。私は良き友人とパートナーを亡くしました。
　もう彼と会話することもなければ、笑い声を聞くこともありません。
　彼のギターも二度と奏でられることはありません。伝説のみを残し、消え去ってしまいました。
　彼のギタープレイは誰とも比べることの出来ないものでした。
　誰も彼のスタイルを真似ることはできませんでしたし、あのスタイルは永久に彼だけの物です。
　また、彼の口から人の悪口を聞くことは決してありませんでした。本当に優しい人でした。
　世界は素晴らしい人間とミュージシャンを同時に失いました。
　彼の音楽と人間性は、大勢の人々の心を満たして来ました。
　私にとっては兄弟同然の存在でしたし、ステージ上でも、それ以外でも本当に長い年月を共に過ごしました。

　寂しくなるよ、友よ。
　君に神の祝福がありますように。安らかに眠ってください。
　涙が止まりません。
