ザ・フォール（The Fall）の中心人物マーク・E・スミス（Mark E Smith）が1月24日に死去。ザ・フォールのマネージャーPamela Vanderがファン・サイトFall newsのツイッターを通して訃報を伝えています。また米Pitchforkは訃報を確認したと伝えています。60歳でした。死因は明らかにされていませんが、ここ最近は健康状態はよくなく、2017年秋の米国ツアーをキャンセルしていました。マネージャーは今後数日以内に詳細な声明を出すと約束しています。
