グレイトフル・デッド（Grateful Dead）のオフィシャル・ドキュメンタリー『Long Strange Trip』が『グレイトフル・デッドの長く奇妙な旅』の邦題で日本公開スタート。日本語字幕付き。海外と同じく日本もアマゾン・ビデオ限定での公開です。



『Long Strange Trip』の監督はアミール・バーレフ（The Tillman Story）。マーティン・スコセッシ（Martin Scorsese）がエグゼクティヴ・プロデューサーを担当しています。トータル4時間の作品で、現存するバンド・メンバーのインタビューや、これまで未公開だったアーカイブ映像＆音源なども含まれます。

映画は、今年初めに＜サンダンス映画祭＞でワールドプレミアが行われており、5月26日からは米国と英国のAmazonプライム・ビデオ向けにリリースされています。

また同作のサウンドトラック・アルバムも海外で発売されています。リリース元はRhino。グレイトフル・デッドの記録保管人デヴィッド・ルミューと、ドキュメンタリーを監督したアミール・バーレフが共同プロデュースした本アルバムには、数多くのスタジオ・レコーディング音源に加えて、未発表なものも含んだライヴ音源も収録されていいます。
