スタジオ・アルバムの発表は2010年の『Belle and Sebastian Write About Love』以来。プロデュース＆ミックスはベン・アレン（Ben H. Allen III／Animal Collective, Gnarls Barkley他）が担当。ミックスには長年のコラボレーターであるTony Dooganも参加しています。

本作はCD、LP、限定デラックスLPボックスがあり。ボックスは4枚組でボーナス・トラックを収録。またポスターも同梱されます。
