数々の名盤制作に使われたサンセット・サウンド・スタジオのレコーディング・コンソール、6540万円で販売

ロサンゼルスの伝説的なスタジオ「サンセット・サウンド・スタジオ」で、1970年代から80年代にかけて数々の名盤の制作に使用されたレコーディング・コンソールが売りに出され、約6540万円で買われています。

この「Sunset Sound Bushnell API Recording Console」は、もともとは1969年に「サンセット・サウンド・スタジオ」から発注されて作られたもので、1970年代から80年代にかけて数々の象徴的なアーティストやアルバムの制作・録音の中心的存在となりました。

このレコーディング・コンソールは90年代以降、プロデューサー/アーティストのTボーン・バーネット（T-Bone Burnett）が所有しており、彼の指揮下で20年近くにわたってアルバム、サウンドトラック、TVスコアの制作に携わっています。

Tボーン・バーネットは、自身の人生は今、様々な方向に向かっているため、完全に装備されたスタジオは必要なくなったという。「パワフルで深みのあるサウンドのハイファイな音楽を愛し、信じられないようなサウンドのレコードを作る人にこれが届くことを願っています」と話しています。
