イアン・デューリー（Ian Dury）の新たなベスト・アルバム『Hit Me! The Best of Ian Dury』が海外で10月16日発売。リリース元はBMG。

タイトルは、イアン・デューリー＆ザ・ブロックヘッズ（Ian Dury & The Blockheads）のヒット曲「Hit Me with Your Rhythm Stick」から。今回アルバムは、イアン・デューリーの遺産を管理するエステイトから支援を受けて制作されています。

アルバムはCDは3枚組、アナログレコードは180グラム重量盤2枚組でカラーヴァイナル（White Vinyl）仕様。CDにはライヴ音源、12インチ・シングル・カット、デモ音源も含んだ全50曲を収録。アナログ盤は20曲のみ収録されます。

また、これまで未公開だった写真や新しいライナーノーツを掲載したブックレットも付属されます
