アメリカ議会図書館が文化的、歴史的、芸術的に重要な録音物を保存することを目的に行っている「全米録音資料登録簿（National Recording Registry）」。新たに保存が決定した作品が発表されています。2000年より開始された本制度には、少なくとも10年以上経った録音物を対象に、毎年25点ほどずつが選ばれています。

新たに保存が決定したのは、チープ・トリック『at Budokan』、ティナ・ターナー『Private Dancer』、ヴィレッジ・ピープル「Y.M.C.A.」、ホイットニー・ヒューストン「I Will Always Love You」、ドクター・ドレー『The Chronic』、ダスティ・スプリングフィールド『Dusty in Memphis』、グレン・キャンベル「Wichita Lineman」ほか
