ELOのジェフ・リンが在籍したアイドル・レース　デビューアルバムがエクスパンデッドエディション再発

後にエレクトリック・ライト・オーケストラ（Electric Light Orchestra / ELO）を結成するジェフ・リン（Jeff Lynne）が在籍した英サイケポップバンド、アイドル・レース（The Idle Race）。1968年にリリースしたデビュー・アルバム『Birthday Party』がボーナスディスクを付属したエクスパンデッド・エディションで再発。海外で3月20日発売。リイシュー元Cherry Red/Grapefruit。

CD1には初CD化となるオリジナル・アルバムのモノ・ヴァージョンを、CD2にはオリジナル・アルバムのステレオ・ヴァージョンをそれぞれ収録。2枚ともシングル曲や別ヴァージョンなどのボーナストラックも収録されます。

オリジナルLPの見開きジャケットを反映した6パネル・デジパック仕様で、24ページのブックレットには、バンドの歴史に関するエッセイ、クレジット、写真などが掲載されています。
