フレディ・マーキュリー（Freddie Mercury）の生まれ故郷、タンザニアにあるザンジバル島のストーン・タウンに「フレディ・マーキュリー・ミュージアム（The Freddie Mercury Museum - Zanzibar）」が完成。2019年11月24日に正式に開館しています。

フレディに捧げられた初の博物館である「フレディ・マーキュリー・ミュージアム」には、正式に提携している英国のQueen Productions Ltd.から貸与されたフレディの生涯にわたる写真などが展示されています

このプロジェクトは、フレディ・マーキュリーことファルーク・バルサラの生誕の地、彼のルーツであるゾロアスター教、ザンジバルでの幼少時代と生い立ち、インドのパンチガニでの学校生活、そして、彼が史上最高のスターの1人になるまでの残りの道のりを詳細に紹介することを目的としています。

#stonetown | Stone Town is located in the heart of Zanzibar, it is also known as ‘Mji Kongwe’ which is Swahili for ‘Old Town’. The buildings in Stone Town are renown for their specific coral brick material, which is a universal feature across the architecture of the town. A once young Farrokh Bulsara also lived and grew up in Stone Town.
