OMD　40周年記念ボックスセット『Souvenir』から未発表音源「Liberator」公開

OMDことオーケストラル・マヌーヴァーズ・イン・ザ・ダーク（Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark）が10月にリリースする、40周年を記念したCD5枚＋DVD2枚のボックスセット『Souvenir』。この作品から未発表音源「Liberator」が公開。1985年2月録音。この音源はCD3の未発表音源集に収録



ボックスセットは海外で10月4日発売。

CD1とCD2には、1979年の「Electricity」から、2019年の最新シングル「Do n't Go」までのOMDの40枚のシングルをすべて収録。

CD3は、メンバーのポール・ハンフリースによって選ばれ、新たにミキシングされた、アーカイブからの未発表音源22曲を収録。いくつかは未完成のアイデアであり、他は完全な未発表曲です。

CD4は、2011年2月3日に英ロンドンのマーメイド・シアターで行われたコンサートのフル・ライヴ音源全16曲を収録。

CD5は、1983年5月10日に英ハマースミス・オデオンで行われたコンサートのフル・ライヴ音源全20曲を収録。この音源は最近新たに発見されたもの。

DVD1は、1980年4月の『The Old Grey Whistle Test』から2013年5月の『Later With Jools Holland』までのBBCパフォーマンスを全23曲収録。

DVD2は、1981年12月4日の英ドルリー・レーン公演、1985年6月14日のシェフィールド・シティ・ホール公演のライヴ映像を収録。また『Crush - The Movie』も収録されます。

ボックスセットには、ハードカバー本、ポスター、10インチサイズのプリントも付属。本には、未公開写真、シングルのアートワーク、アンディ・マクラスキーによるアーカイブ資料に付随するメモなどが掲載されます。

同日には、ボックスセットのCD1とCD2と同じ内容のシングル・コレクション・アルバム『Souvenir - The Singles 1979-2019』も発売されます。こちらは2CD版と3LP版があり。
