アート・ガーファンクル（Art Garfunkel）のキャリアを凝縮した2CDアンソロジー盤『The Singer』が日本でも発売に。国内盤はBlu-spec CD仕様で9月26日発売（米：8月28日）。

サイモン＆ガーファンクル（Simon and Garfunkel）時代とソロ転向後の作品の中からアート・ガーファンクルが自ら厳選した34曲を収録。40年強のキャリアを凝縮した代表曲に加え、2012年録音の新曲「Lena (featuring Dean Parks)」「Long Way Home (with Maia Sharp)」も収められます。
