メタリカ、ジョン・コルトレーン、サンタナ、ビリー・ジョエル等が新たに登録、アメリカ議会図書館による国家保存重要録音登録制度の2016年度作品が明らかに

アメリカ議会図書館が文化的、歴史的、芸術的に重要な録音物を保存することを目的に行っている国家保存重要録音登録制度（National Recording Registry）の2016年度作品が明らかに。

2000年より開始された本制度には、少なくとも10年以上経った録音物を毎年25点ほどずつ追加保存しています。

今年度に登録されたのは、メタリカ『Master of Puppets』、ジョン・コルトレーン『A Love Supreme』、サンタナ『Abraxas』、ビリー・ジョエル「Piano Man」、シュープリームス「Where Did Our Love Go」などのアルバム／シングル
