ZTTやトレヴァー・ホーンとの仕事で知られたパーカショニスト、ルイス・ジャーディム（Luís Jardim）が死去。7月4日の75歳の誕生日に亡くなりました。

ジャーディムは、北大西洋上のマカロネシアに位置するポルトガル領のマデイラ島生まれのポルトガル人パーカッショニスト。彼の訃報はマデイラ地方政府のミゲル・アルブケルケ大統領がSNSで発表しています。

ジャーディムがスタジオ・パーカッショニストとしての地位を確立したのはイギリスでした。ABCのデビューアルバム『The Lexicon of Love』を皮切りに、ジャーディムはトレヴァー・ホーンとのプロジェクトに幅広く携わり、フランキー・ゴーズ・トゥ・ハリウッド、グレイス・ジョーンズ、シールなどの作品に参加。またレイ・チャールズ、ブライアン・フェリー、ニナ・ハーゲン、アニー・レノックス、エリック・クラプトン、ローリング・ストーンズなどの作品にも参加し、ティナ・ターナー、ジョージ・マイケル、ロッド・スチュワートのツアーにも参加しました。
