ザ・キンクス　60周年記念アンソロジーアルバム『The Journey』の第3弾発売　新リマスター＋未発表ライヴ音源　2曲試聴可

ザ・キンクス（The Kinks）は60周年を記念したアンソロジー・アルバムの最後を飾る第3弾『The Journey - Part 3』を海外で7月11日発売。

2023年にリリースされた『The Journey - Part 1』『The Journey - Part 2』に続く第3弾で、CD、アナログレコードともに2枚組。アナログ盤は180グラム重量盤です。

『Part 3』は、1977年から1984年にかけてのRCA/Arista時代を網羅し、バンドがアメリカでブレイクを果たし、象徴的なポップ期や実験的な時期を経て、独自の英国的な感覚を反映した新鮮で洗練されたクラシックなソングライティングスタイルへと回帰した変革の時期を捉えています。

ディスク1には、バンドが自ら選んだ同時代の名曲とヒット曲が、オリジナル1/2テープとプロダクション・テープからリマスターされたヴァージョンで収録されています。

ディスク2には、1993年7月にロンドンのロイヤル・アルバート・ホールで行われたコンサートの未発表ライヴ音源が収録されます。

この作品にはバンドによる各曲解説と、フィル・アレクサンダーによる新しいライナーノーツも収録されています。

このアルバムのトレーラー映像、そして1981年アルバム『Give the People What They Want』に収録された「Destroyer」の2025年リマスター・ヴァージョンと、「I'm Not Like Everybody Else」の未発表ライヴ音源が先行公開されています。
