エリック・クラプトン　「Pilgrim」の未発表リミックス・ヴァージョン公開

エリック・クラプトン（Eric Clapton）はボックスセット『The Complete Reprise Studio Albums Vol.1』から「Pilgrim」の未発表リミックス・ヴァージョン公開。クラプトンのコラボレーターであり長年プロデューサーを務めたサイモン・クライミーによる未発表リミックス。



クラプトンは、リプリーズ・レコード時代の初期にリリースした6枚のスタジオ・アルバムのリマスター盤に加え、未発表含むレア音源も収めたアナログレコード12枚組のボックスセット『The Complete Reprise Studio Albums Vol.1』を海外で9月30日に発売します。

このボックスセットには

『Money and Cigarettes』(1983年)　※1LP
『Behind the Sun』(1985年)　※2LP
『August』(1986年)　※2LP
『Journeyman』(1989年)　※2LP
『From the Cradle』(1994年)　※2LP
『Pilgrim』(1998年)　※2LP

という6枚のスタジオ・アルバムのリマスター盤が180グラム重量盤アナログレコードで収録されています。

『Behind the Sun』と『August』はもともと1LPとして発売されましたが、2作品とも、最大限の音質を引き出すために、2枚組3面アナログという形で発売されます。

このボックスセットにはさらに、もう1枚のアナログレコード『Rarities (1983-1998)』もあります。これには、1987年のシングル「Behind The Mask」のB面に収録された「White Room」と「Crossroads」のライヴ・ヴァージョン、1998年にグラミー賞を受賞したシングル「My Father's Eyes」のB面に収録された「Theme From A Movie That Never Happened (Orchestral)」、クラプトンの共同作曲家であり長年プロデューサーを務めたサイモン・クライミーによる「Pilgrim」の未発表リミックスなど、この時代の貴重な音源8曲が収録されます。

このコレクションに含まれるすべての楽曲は、Gateway Masteringのボブ・ラドウィックによってマスタリングされ、LPのラッカーはBernie Grundman Masteringのクリス・ベルマンによってカットされています。

このボックスセットに続き、2023年初頭には、2001年から2010年にかけてのクラプトンのリプライズ・スタジオ・アルバムと、その時代のレア音源を収録したアナログレコードのボックスセット『The Complete Reprise Studio Albums - Volume 2』もリリースされる予定です。このリリースの詳細については、近日中に発表される予定です。
