キング・クリムゾンのロバート・フリップ　77年〜83年のスタジオ／ソロライヴ音源を網羅した32枚組ボックスセット発売

キング・クリムゾン（King Crimson）のロバート・フリップ（Robert Fripp）は、1977年から1983年までのスタジオおよびソロ・ライヴ音源を網羅した32枚組のボックスセット『Exposures』を海外で5月27日発売。リリース元はDGM/Panegyric。

『Exposures』は、1969年から2008年までのキング・クリムゾン／ロバート・フリップの作品を集めたボックスセット・シリーズの第9弾です。1977年から1983年までのロバート・フリップのスタジオおよびソロ・ライブ音源の完全コレクションで、最初の『Exposure』セッションからThe League of Gentlemenの終了、そしてFrippertronicsの最終コンサートまでの期間をカバーしています。

内容はCD24枚＋DVDオーディオ4枚＋Blu-rayオーディオ4枚で、このセットには、多くの未発表曲、アウトテイク、レア音源、初CD化音源も収録される予定です。

24枚のCDには、初期のマスターループ、この期間の全アルバムのスティーヴン・ウィルソン（Steven Wilson）とデヴィッド・シングルトンの新ミックス、さらに新たにマスタリングされたオリジナルミックス、未発表曲や新曲を含む多数のスタジオ盤とライヴ・ディスクが収録されています。

スティーヴン・ウィルソンがミックスした『Exposure』、『Under Heavy Manners』、『The League of Gentlemen』のスタジオ録音と、アルバム・セッションからの多数の未発表音源は、CDに加えて、Blu-rayにDolby Atmos、DTS-HD 5.1 Surround、24/96 ハイレゾ・ステレオ・オーディオで収録されます。

デヴィッド・シングルトンがミックスした『God Save the Queen』、『Let the Power Fall』、『Washington Square Church』はCDに加えて、Blu-rayにDTS-HD Surround (Quad/4.1) やハイレゾ・ステレオ・オーディオで収録されます。

さらに、1979年のソロ・デビューアルバム『Exposure』の全エディションとヴァージョン（未発表を含む）、当時の全アルバムのオリジナルマスター、そして豊富な追加素材（その多くは未発表）は、ハイレゾステレオオーディオでBlu-rayに収録されます。

さらにBlu-rayには、Frippertronicsのループ、マスター、コンサートパフォーマンスなど、68時間を超えるDGMのアーカイブが24/48のハイレゾステレオで収録されています。

DVD3枚は、主要なアルバムを5.1ch、4ch、ハイレゾステレオで収録しています。

『Exposures』は12インチボックスで提供され、当時の写真やメモ、チケット、ポスター、プレスリリースなどの記念品も含んだ48ページのブックレットを同梱しています。

ボックスセットのほか、『Exposure』のスティーヴン・ウィルソン・ミックス『Exposure (Fourth Edition)』は5月27日に200グラム重量盤アナログレコードとCD＋DVDオーディオとして、また『Washington Square Church』は4月29日に200グラム重量盤アナログレコードとCD＋DVDオーディオとして発売されます。

Disc 32 The League of Gentlemen - Royal Exeter, Bournemouth, 21/9/80, John Peel Session, 17/11/80
The League of Gentlemen’s autumn tour of the UK included some of the short-lived band’s most energised performances. This newly mastered audience recording is one of the few recorded examples of that tour plus, tracks as recorded by the band for broadcast by John Peel on his radio show. Unusually, for such sessions, these were recorded independently and supplied as finished masters rather than the usual practice of being recorded at BBC studios.
