レイ・チャールズがこれまでに録音した最も重要な楽曲のうち、90曲を新たにリマスターして収録。これには、これまでどのアルバムにも収録されていなかったシングルも含まれます。

さらに1972年にスウェーデンのストックホルムで行われたレイ・チャールズのコンサートから、これまで未発表のライヴ音源8曲も収録されます。
