リチャード＆リンダ・トンプソン（Richard and Linda Thompson）の、スタジオ・アルバムのリマスター版と未発表音源をフィーチャーしたCD8枚組のボックスセット『Hard Luck Stories (1972 - 1982)』。ストリーミング配信開始。計113曲中93曲がYouTubeほかで聴けます。

ボックスセットは海外で9月11日発売。リリース元はUMC／Universal。

ボックスには、リチャード・トンプソン（Richard Thompson）とリンダ・トンプソン（Linda Thompson）の2人が一緒に制作したスタジオ・アルバム6タイトルに加えて、アルバム未収録シングル、Bサイド曲、デモ＆レア音源、ライヴ音源も収録されます。

CD6枚にはスタジオ・アルバム6タイトルをそれぞれボーナストラックを追加して収め、さらに初期音源をフィーチャーしたディスク『SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS - THE EARLY YEARS』と未発表ライヴ・アルバム『THE MADNESS OF LOVE - LIVE』のCD2枚も収録されます。

ボックスには計113曲が収録され、そのうち30曲は未発表音源です。また72ページのハードカバー本も付属され、これには初出およびレアな写真や、2つの新しいエッセイなどが掲載されます。
