ストリング・カルテットやパーカッション奏者を加えて、ロサンゼルス、ワシントンDC、ノックスビル、ナッシュビルなどを巡った最新ライヴ・ツアー＜Live and Unpeeled＞から厳選した全21曲を収録。このツアーは、過去に発表した楽曲をアコースティック編成でリアレンジした構成で行われています。

アルバムには3曲のカヴァー曲も収録。ストラングラーズ（The Stranglers）「Golden Brown」、ダフト・パンク（Daft Punk）「Instant Crush」、レックレス エリック（Wreckless Eric）「Whole Wide World」のカヴァーが収録されます。
