PiL『Metal Box』＆『Album』　スーパーデラックスエディションのボックス開封映像第2弾が公開

ジョン・ライドン（John Lydon）率いるパブリック・イメージ・リミテッド（Public Image Ltd）。人気作2タイトルのスーパー・デラックス・エディションのパッケージ内容を説明したボックス開封映像の第2弾が公開されています。

スーパー・デラックス・エディション化されるのは、1979年にリリースしたアルバム『Metal Box』と、1986年にリリースしたアルバム『Album』の2タイトル。CD4枚組（日本盤のみSHM-CD仕様）とアナログレコード4枚組（海外のみ）があり。



以下はボックス開封映像の第1弾



海外ではCD版が12月9日に、アナログレコード4枚組版が12月16日に発売。日本ではCD版は12月23日に発売。日本盤は輸入国内仕様の完全生産限定盤。リリース元はユニバーサルミュージック。

『Metal Box』は、円盤状の金属ボックスでリリースされた1979年のオリジナル盤を彷彿とさせる、PiLのロゴ入り正方形の金属缶でのリリース。シングルB面や貴重なラジオ・セッション、未発表だった別ミックス、初出となる79年6月18日のマンチェスターはラッセル・クラブでの公演などを収録します。

『Album』（別名：Compact Disc、Cassette）のアルバム・ジャケットにはリリースされた各フォーマットの名称（Album、Compact Disc、Cassette）が描かれていますが、このスーパー・デラックス・ボックスセットにも同様に「Album super deluxe edition」と描かれています。初出となる86年5月27日のブリクストン・アカデミー公演の模様や各曲の別ミックス、貴重なラジオ・セッション、未発表デモなどを収録します。

いずれのボックスにも、72ページのブックレット、オリジナル・ポスター、アート・プリント（LP版のみ）、ポストカード（CD版のみ）が同梱されます。

アナログレコード版は収録時間の関係でCD版よりも収録曲が少ないものの、付属されるダウンロードカードを使ってCD版と同じ収録曲の音源を得ることができるとのこと。
