ジェントル・ジャイアント『Octopus』がスティーヴン・ウィルソンによる新たなミックスで再発

英国のプログレッシブ・ロック・バンド、ジェントル・ジャイアント（Gentle Giant）の72年作『Octopus』がスティーヴン・ウィルソンに（Steven Wilson）よる新たなミックスで再発。CDのみ版に加え、5.1サラウンドサウンドやハイレゾ・ステレオも収めたBlu-ray付きエディションも発売されます。リリースは海外で10月27日。

CD、Blu-rayともにオリジナル収録曲に加え、「Extracts from Octopus」の16分におよぶライヴ・ヴァージョンがボーナス・トラックとして収録。Blu-rayにはさらにオリジナル1972年ミックス、ステレオ・リミックス5曲のインストゥメンタル・ヴァージョンも収録。

またオリジナルのアルバム・カヴァーを手がけたロジャー・ディーン（Roger Dean）が提供した新たなスケッチが掲載されます。

A brand new edition, partly remixed into both high resolution stereo and 5.1 surround sound, of the classic fourth album from one of the most gifted and ambitious of the original wave of seventies progressive rock bands. 5 of the 8 tracks have been remixed by Steven from the multitrack master tapes at 96/24 and this is a 2 disc Blu-Ray/CD edition on the band’s own label Alucard. Also includes bonus track of a 16 minute live version of “Extracts from Octopus”, again newly mixed into stereo and 5.1 surround sound. The blu ray additionally includes a flat transfer of the original 1972 mix, and instrumental versions of the 5 stereo remixes, all in high resolution. New sketches from Roger Dean, who did the original front cover, are included in the artwork.
