エルヴィス・コステロ＆ジ・アトラクションズ『Armed Forces』　アナログ盤9枚組ボックスセット発売　未発表音源試聴可

エルヴィス・コステロ＆ジ・アトラクションズ（Elvis Costello & The Attractions）が1979年にリリースしたアルバム『Armed Forces』。アナログレコード9枚組のスーパーデラックスエディションが海外で11月6日発売。リイシュー元はUMe。

コステロ自身がキュレーションしたこのボックスセットには、12インチ盤3枚、10インチ盤3枚、7インチ盤3枚を収録。

オリジナル・アルバムはオリジナルのプロダクション・マスター・テープからの新規リマスターで収録。

またBサイドや別ヴァージョン、アウトテイク、デモのコレクション・ディスクと、ライヴ・アルバム『Live at Hollywood High』からのセレクション・ディスクも収録。

さらに、3つのコンサートをそれぞれ収めたディスク3枚も収録。1978年12月24日ドミニオン・シアター公演のハイライト、1978年シドニー公演、1979年6月にオランダの＜Pinkpop Festival＞で行ったフル・セットで、この3枚に収録されている23曲はすべて未発表ライヴ音源です。

ボックスには7インチシングル3枚（「Oliver's Army」、「Accidents Will Happen」、Nick Lowe & His Sound「American Squirm」）も収録されます。

ボックスにはさらに、コステロの新しいライナーノーツ（合計1万語近く）と当時の手書きの歌詞など掲載した7冊のカスタム・ノートを収録。さらにビンテージ・ポスターのレプリカや各バンド・メンバーのオリジナル・ポストカード4枚も含まれています。

このエディションからボックス開封映像と、「[What’s So Funny 'Bout] Peace, Love & Understanding?」、「Pump It Up (Live At The Regent Theatre, 1978)」（未発表）、「Goon Squad (Live At Pinkpop, 1979)」（未発表）の音源が公開されています。
