ネナ・チェリー『Raw Like Sushi』30周年記念　「Buffalo Stance」の新ミュージックビデオ公開

ネナ・チェリー（Neneh Cherry）が1989年にリリースしたデビュー・アルバム『Raw Like Sushi』。発売30周年を記念した30thアニヴァーサリー・エディションを祝して、「Buffalo Stance」の新たなミュージックビデオを公開。オリジナル・ミュージックビデオに敬意を表しつつ、新たに再創造したトリビュート・ビデオ。監督はロンドン拠点の映像作家Stephen Isaac-Wilson。

ウィルソンは

「英国のクラブ文化の瞬間や人物を称え、1989年から2019年までの文化的および政治的な類似性を観察しながら、“Buffalo Stance”のオリジナル・ミュージックビデオのエネルギー、スピリット、躍動感に敬意を払ったものを作りたかった」

とコメントしています。

オリジナル映像と新たに撮影された人物を照合することで、1989年と2019年の英国のアンダーグラウンドを比較することができます。

このエディションは海外で2020年1月31日発売。CD3枚組またはアナログレコード3枚組で入手できます。リイシュー元はUMC/Virgin。

オリジナル・アルバムは、アビー・ロード・スタジオで新たにリマスタリングされ、2枚のボーナスディスクには、マッシヴ・アタック（Massive Attack）やアーサー・ベイカー（Arthur Baker）などが手掛けたレアなリミックスが多数収録されます。またデモ音源やリ・レコーディング音源も収められます。

このエディションには48ページの本（写真、新インタビュー、ライナーノーツほか）も含まれています。

同日には『Raw Like Sushi』のリマスター版のみがCDまたはアナログ盤で発売されます。
