ブルース・スプリングスティーンの未発表曲も収録　映画『Blinded by the Light』サントラ全曲リスニング可

ブルース・スプリングスティーン（Bruce Springsteen）の未発表曲「I'll Stand by You」も収録した映画『Blinded by the Light』のサウンドトラック・アルバムがSpotify、 Apple Musicで配信開始。全曲リスニング可。

この映画は、スプリングスティーンの音楽に出会ったことで人生を大きく変えることになる少年を描いた作品。

サウンドトラック・アルバムには、スプリングスティーンの楽曲12曲を収録。映画名にもなった「Blinded by the Light」や、「Born to Run」「Prove It All Night」「Dancing in the Dark」のスタジオ・ヴァージョンに加えて、3曲のライヴ音源も収録。このうち、1979年のNo Nukesコンサートから「The River」、そして2014年に米ワシントンD.C.のナショナルモールで行ったコンサートから「The Promised Land」の計2曲は初出の未発表ライヴ音源です。「The Promised Land」のライヴ音源はYouTubeで聴けます。

またアルバムには、スプリングスティーンが映画『ハリー・ポッターと賢者の石』（2001年）のために書いた曲で、最終的に採用されなかった未発表曲「I'll Stand by You」も収録。以前にネットで出回りましたが、公式リリースは今回が初めてです。

サウンドトラック・アルバムはCD版、デジタル版が8月9日、アナログレコード版が8月30日に発売（いずれも海外）。アルバムには、A.R.ラフマーン（A.R.Rahman）が映画のために作曲した楽曲、そしてペット・ショップ・ボーイズ（Pet Shop Boys）やa-haが提供した楽曲も収録されます。

映画『Blinded by the Light』は、パキスタン生まれで、現在は英国でジャーナリスト／ドキュメンタリー作家として活躍するサーフラーツ・マンゾア（Sarfraz Manzoor）の回顧録『Greetings From Bury Park』を原作とした作品。監督はグリンダ・チャーダ（『ベッカムに恋して』）。

舞台は1987年のイギリス。幼少のとき家族と共に移住してきたパキスタン人のサルフラスは16歳。移民の子として目立たないように生きていた彼は、ある日ブルース・スプリングスティーンの音楽と出会う。自分と同じワーキングクラスの思いを歌う歌詞に勇気づけられ、人生を大きく変えることになる、というストーリーです。出演はディーン＝チャールズ・チャップマン、ヘイリー・アトウェル、アーロン・ファグラほか。

『Blinded by the Light』の米国公開は8月14日
