タンジェリン・ドリーム　18枚組ボックスセット収録の未発表サントラ『Oedipus Tyrannus』から1曲公開

タンジェリン・ドリーム（Tangerine Dream）のCD16枚＋Blu-ray2枚のボックスセット『In Search of Hades: The Virgin Recordings 1973-1979』。このボックスに収録される1974年7月録音の未発表サントラ『Oedipus Tyrannus』から「Act 2: Baroque」（スティーヴン・ウィルソンによるミックス）が公開。YouTubeで聴けます



多くの未発表音源を含んだこのボックスセットは海外で5月31日発売。リリース元はUMC / Virgin。

ボックスには

・Force Majeure (1979)

といったヴァージン・レコード時代にリリースしたスタジオ・アルバム7タイトルを、オリジナル第一世代のマスターテープを元にした新規リマスター版で収録。また『Phaedra』と『Ricochet』のみ、リマスター／レストアの名職人としても知られるスティーヴン・ウィルソン（Steven Wilson）によるステレオミックスと5.1サラウンド・サウンド・ミックスも収録されます。

このボックスセットには、1973年11月にオックスフォードシャー州のThe Manor Studiosで録音された『Phaedra』のアウトテイク集2枚、1974年6月16日ロンドン公演のライヴ盤2枚、1974年10月27日ロンドン公演のライヴ盤2枚、1974年7月に録音した未発表サントラ『Oedipus Tyrannus』（スティーヴン・ウィルソンによるミックス）などといった未発表のCD8枚が含まれています。また、1975年10月に英コヴェントリー大聖堂でライヴ・レコーディングした35分間の未発表音源もボーナストラックとして収録され、さらに1975年4月ロンドン公演のライヴ盤2枚も収められます。

2枚のBlu-rayには、『Phaedra』『Oedipus Tyrannus』『Ricochet』のスティーヴン・ウィルソンによる5.1サラウンド・サウンド・ミックスのほか、1976年5月にドイツのTV番組で行ったパフォーマンスや、英コヴェントリー大聖堂でのパフォーマンスといったビジュアルコンテンツも収録されます。

また、新しいライナーノーツやレア写真などをフィーチャーした68ページのハードカバー本も付属されます。
