英マンチェスター出身アーティストの楽曲を集めたコンピレーション・アルバム『マンチェスター、音楽に育てられた街〜イワン・マッコールからオアシスまで（原題：Manchester; A City United In Music）』が日本で2月22日、海外で1月25日発売。有名なマンチェスター・シーンの写真家ケヴィン・カミンズによる写真なども掲載した44ページのブックレット付き

1950年代のフォーク・リバイバル・ブームの中心人物だったイワン・マッコールの「ダーティ・オールド・タウン」で始まり、60年代のブリティッシュ・ビート時代を彩ったホリーズ、フレディ&ザ・ドリーマーズ、ハーマンズ・ハミッツ、ジョン・メイオール、ウェイン・フォンタナ&ザ・マインドベンダーズ、ジョージィ・フェイム&ザ・ブルー・フレイムズ、そして70年代はバークレイ・ジェームズ・ハーヴェスト、10ccなどの名曲を、ディスク2はパンク初期に登場したバズコックス、マガジン、フォール、そしてジョイ・デヴィジョン、ニュー・オーダーから始まるマッドチェスターと称されたストーン・ローゼズ、インスパイラル・カーペッツ、ハッピー・マンデーズといったアーティストに、元スミスのジョニー・マー、UKソウルを代表するバンドとなったシンプリー・レッド、ラストを飾るオアシスまで全45曲を収録
