モット・ザ・フープル（Mott The Hoople）のアイランド・レコード期音源をコンプリートしたCD6枚組のボックスセット『Mental Train - The Island Years 1969-71』が海外で11月2日発売。リリース元はユニバーサル・ミュージック。

バンドがアイランド・レコード期（1969年〜1971年）に録音した全ての音源を収めた作品。

ディスク１からディスク４には、この期間にリリースしたスタジオ・アルバム4タイトル

●Mott the Hoople (1969)
●Mad Shadows (1970)
●Wildlife (1971)
●Brain Capers (1971)

をボーナストラックを追加してそれぞれ収録。ボーナストラックには、シングル曲、別ヴァージョン、BBCセッション、デモ、ライヴなどのレア／未発表音源が収められます。

ディスク５はアイランド・レコード期の未発表音源集『The Ballads of Mott The Hoople』で、ディスク６はライヴ音源集『It’s Live And Live Only』です。

音源はすべてオリジナルテープからリマスタリングされており、ボックスには50ページのブックレットも付属されます。
